About Us

NAMI's Purpose

 Build awareness and understanding around mental illness, support individuals, family members, friends and loved ones in navigating mental illness and recovery, advocate for the needs of individuals living with mental illness, and educate the public on mental illness. 

Counties

Susquehanna Valley PA will support the following counties: Columbia, Montour, Snyder, Union, and Northumberland. 

Volunteer

NAMI Susquehanna Valley PA is run by volunteers. If you have interest in volunteering your services, please reach out! It takes a village and we would love to add to ours. 

Programs Coming Soon

  • NAMI Basics: six-session education program for parents and caregivers of youth ages 22 and younger who are experiencing mental health conditions or symptoms.
  • NAMI Family to Family: eight-session educational program for family members, significant others, and friends of adults who have a mental health diagnosis.
  • NAMI Ending the Silence: mental health awareness presentation designed for middle and high school students, school staff, and parents or guardians of middle or high school aged youth. Audiences learn about the signs and symptoms of mental health conditions, how to recognize the early warning signs, and the importance of acknowledging those warning signs and getting help.
